Laurel Thomas (Charlotte Bellamy) is set to face grave danger as she is held hostage by Colin Hamston (Mark Noble), and a new Emmerdale video shows the exact moment things start to take a turn.
Ahead of her trip to join husband Jai Sharma (Chriss Bisson) in India, Laurel heads round to Colin’s to pick up Marshall’s passport for him, but when she gets there she finds the house empty and the door unlocked.
She lets herself in, calling out to Colin, surprised at the state of the house. It becomes clear that she is alone, with Colin nowhere to be seen.
However, she soon grows alarmed when the front door slams shut, and suddenly she’s face to face with Colin himself.
As he demands to know what she is doing in his house, she is left in total shock.
Things are only set to get worse for Laurel, as he gets nasty and locks her in Marshall’s bedroom.
With no phone, Laurel is left terrified and completely at Colin’s mercy.
His behaviour escalates dramatically, leaving her completely desperate as she hits him over the head in a last resort bid to escape. However, with the door locked, she is still trapped.
Elsewhere, Jai and the family are concerned that she has failed to show up, and when Arthur (Alfie Clarke) reveals that she had gone to get Marshall’s passport, alarm bells start ringing.
However, Jai soon receives a text from Laurel which makes it sound as though she has relapsed.
What he doesn’t know is that it was sent by Colin, who’s actions have become increasingly dangerous.
When police officers arrive on scene, her hopes are lifted, but Colin is a smooth talker and continues to prolong her ordeal.
As Jai and Suni (Brahmdeo Shannon Ramana) take the search for Laurel into their own hands, will they find her?
