I'm a Celebrity… Get Me Out of Here! stars were almost left without a shower when it broke just before last year's show, it has been revealed.
The 2020 series had to be held at Gwrych Castle in Wales amid the coronavirus pandemic and as it had no running water a special boiler had to be fitted.
Some of the show's inside secrets have been revealed in an I'm A Celebrity souvenir guidebook, and according to The Sun disaster struck last year just as Vernon Kay, Giovanna Fletcher, Shane Richie and co were getting ready to move in.
The shower was being tested in a dry run when the handle that operated it suddenly snapped – meaning the campers wouldn't have been able to wash.
Luckily, a local plumber came to the rescue and was tasked with keeping the system up and running so the celebs didn't have to add being filthy to their list of grumbles, The Sun reported.
When the reality show is set in its usual home – the Australian jungle – the contestants are able to have a scrub in an open air shower.
It has given rise to plenty of show highlights, such as Myleene Klass's memorable washes in THAT white bikini.
And it seems the job of committing those sorts of moments to film is pretty sought after.
The book apparently reveals that cameramen have actually argued over who would get to shoot stars such as Myleene, Helen Flanagan and Amy Willerton lathering up in their swimsuits.
But there will be no forest showers this year as the ITV show is returning to Abergele in Wales amid the ongoing pandemic.
The new series kicks off on 21 st November, with the likes of TV stars Richard Madeley and Louise Minchin among the contestants.
Other campers for the 2021 show include music producer Naughty Boy, former Strictly Come Dancing judge Dame Arlene Phillips, Saturdays star Frankie Bridge and Olympic diver Matty Lee.
The I'm A Celebrity . . . Get Me Out Of Here! Souvenir Guidebook is by Mark Baker and Sally Brockway (ITV Studios) and it is available now, £10.
