Love Island fans are convinced that producers set up the chat between Jessie Wynter and Casey O'Gorman.

On Tuesday night (February 28), fans watched on as Jessie pulled Casey for a chat after hearing that Will was taken aback by Casey not feeling backed by the boys in the Snog Marry Pie challenge.

Sitting down with Casey on the day beds, Jessie asked: “Firstly, are you ok? The boys mentioned that you were a bit annoyed?”

She added: “The boys weren’t trying to not stick up for you, they were just trying to console Claudia.”

Casey responded: “The boys have apologised to me so it’s fine.”

“I’m going to be honest, I don’t think that they needed to apologise," Jessie went on to add.

Casey then waded back in and said: “I don’t understand why you’re trying to get involved in this, I don’t know why you’re getting your two pence involved.”

Taking to Twitter to speculate, one fan wrote: "The conversation between Casey and Jessie was so awkward.

"I don't understand why she pulled him for a chat. It was so unnecessary! I'm convinced that the producers put her up to it."

"This is actually so random. This must be the producers," echoed a second.

A third then added: "The producers were deffo in her ear because what was the reason??????"

While a fourth penned: "Can we all just remember that some things are forced by the producers… i.e. they may have told Jessie to go and have that conversation, just saying."

"Me trying to work out which producer thought it was worth making me sit through year 8 drama," added a fifth.

And a sixth person said: "You do know the producers would've told Jessie to do that.. painting her as a villain before a vote…. saving Olivia who literally works for ITV."

With the above comment about ITV referring to Olivia's stint in Buffering and in two other previous Love Island VTs.

This comes as the villa continues to process the aftermath of Casey choosing Rosie Seabrook over Claudia Fogarty, leaving Carl Fogarty's daughter heartbroken.

Love Island airs every night at 9pm on ITV2 and ITVX, with Unseen Bits on Saturdays and Aftersun at 10pm on Sundays.
