With less than two weeks to go before Lucifer makes its long awaited return, fans have been given some cryptic updates for the next episodes on Twitter. The show’s latest post may have revealed a key Deckerstar scene ahead of season five part two’s release on Netflix.
Fans of the hit series Lucifer have been given a perplexing new clue for the events of the series’ fifth season.
New episodes will finally continue the latest adventures of Lucifer Morningstar (played by Tom Ellis) with the release of the second half of season five on Friday, May 28.
In the meantime, a number of tantalising clues and hints have been dropping on the series’ official social media pages.
Viewers seem to believe the latest teaser has previewed an adorable exchange between Lucifer and Chloe Decker (Lauren German), whilst also shedding light on yet another chilling murder case.
The dialogue was as follows: “Character 1: I thought you needed space.
“Character 2: No, no space needed. I’m right where I need to be. So, where’s the family?”
It’s still unclear just who is speaking in the new scene, but fans are pretty certain the preview features Lucifer and Chloe scoping out another crime scene.
The script continued: “Character 1: Well, the siblings are over there. But how did you know…
“Character 2: Well obviously one of them is the killer.”
Although Lucifer still needs to vanquish his evil twin, Michael, and reconnect with his father, God (Dennis Haysbert), it appears nothing has changed when it comes to their police work.
It could be speculated that this is one of the first meetings between Lucifer and Chloe near the start of the next instalment.
Part one wrapped up last August when Lucifer and Chloe’s important conversation was rudely interrupted by Amenadiel’s (D.B. Woodside) time-bending abilities.
With Michael hopefully out of the way, Lucifer and Chloe will finally have a chance to catch up.

However, viewers are anticipating some awkward moments between the new couple, as Lucifer struggled to tell Chloe he loved her in last year’s gripping midseason finale.
Finally, the Twitter account signed off: “Great things come to those who wait… two more weeks.”
Speculation quickly ran rampant down in the comments as fans desperately tried to piece together what the new preview could mean for part two.
One user speculated: “Sounds like Deckerstar conversation at a crime scene for me.
“But on the other hand, it’s a bit obvious, so maybe it’s Chloe and Dan’s conversation?”
The devil could need some space at first to contemplate his true feelings for Chloe, but, having learned Lucifer’s true identity, Dan Espinoza (Kevin Alejandro) is definitely in need of some alone time.
Another fan speculated: “Could it be Linda and Amenadiel right before the family dinner we can see in the trailer?”
Linda (Rachael Harris) finally meeting Lucifer’s father should be one of the more hilarious exchanges in the new season if the show’s recent trailer is anything to go by.
Whatever lies in store for Lucifer fans next Friday, everything points to the second half of season five being one of the show’s best instalments so far.
Lucifer Season 5, Part 2 will be released on Friday, May 28 on Netflix.
