Paddy Kirk (Dominic Brunt) is set to have his heart broken once more as he catches Chas Dingle (Lucy Pargeter) flirting with Kev the drayman in a new Emmerdale spoiler clip.
Chas and Paddy have been at each others’ throats since the discovery of Chas’ affair with Al late last year.
They’ve been trying to carry on as normal for the sake of daughter Eve, but things haven’t been going well at all.
Now, with Kev the drayman complimenting Chas on how she handles her beer, she casually banters back in a flirtatious exchange, which is disrupted by a hurt Paddy.
By this point, Paddy has already had quite enough of the exchange, and storms out of the pub.
Realising that Paddy has heard everything, Chas quickly changes tact, asking Kev how his girlfriend is and reminding him that their baby must be due soon.
She is soon chasing after her ex, leaving Bear (Joshua Richards) to keep an eye on Kev.
Bear assures her that he will, and there will be no funny business under his watchful eye…
In upcoming scenes, Paddy is set to sleep with ex-partner Mandy Dingle (Lisa Riley), after she finds him feeling sorry for himself which, according to Lisa Riley, is what ‘the nation wants’.
‘All over social media, it’s what they want’, she told us.
‘What we did realise was when the pandemic hit everybody was watching Paddy and Mandy on the lunchtime and they just loved it.
‘That generation weren’t even born. We have this whole generation of teenagers watching the nostalgia show and they loved that relationship that the writers set up all those many, many years ago.’
Is this the beginning of a new start for Paddy, as he and Mandy rekindle their 26-year-old romance?
And just how will Chas react?
