EastEnders fans have been very wary of creepy teacher Theo Hawthorne (William Ellis) since he began to grow closer to 12-year-old Lily Slater (Lillia Turner) in recent scenes.
When Theo gifted Lily with a pair of trainers, before offering her money to help with her new baby, viewers were left wondering what his true intentions were.
They weren’t the only ones, as Lily’s friend Amy Mitchell (Ellie Dadd) seemed particularly concerned about who her friend was accepting gifts from, worried that she may be endangering herself.
According to executive producer Chris Clenshaw, we will soon know exactly what Theo is up to.
‘We’ve got a big Slater summer with what Theo’s true intentions are, which will be revealed.’

Theo first appeared on our screens when he was confronted by Freddie Slater (Bobby Brazier), who revealed that he had been bullied by the teacher while in school.
It seems strange how one man could go from bullying children to buying them gifts without something dodgy going on…
Whatever Theo is up to, many fans believe that it will end up being Stacey’s strand of the Christmas murder story.
