Sir Rod Stewart speaks to GMB about cost of living crisis
Sir Rod Stewart and Jools Holland have come together to create a new 13-track album, named Swing Fever, which is due out in February. The pair recently serenaded the public at St Pancreas station to bring some Christmas cheer despite challenging times.
Sir Rod has always made it known that he wants to make a difference in the world and is very passionate about trying to help the NHS. During an exclusive chat with Good Morning Britain, he once again made a plea with Prime Minister, Rishi Sunak.
Charlotte Hawkins explained that Rod is becoming increasingly alarmed about the continuing cost of living crisis, and once again wants to provide more MRI scans for patients. He admitted he hasn’t had much luck in getting a response from the authorities.
Jools Holland explained: “We want them to dance away, that’s what we would like most of all and I think we spread the joy”. Both musicians were aware of the rise of high bills and food prices not leaving many with much to dance about.
Rod noted: “I can’t ever remember it being this bad. Mother can’t afford to feed their children, it is just unbelievable.”

He has been advocating for the NHS since the strikes which have been going on for the last year and made a frustrating plea to Prime Minister Rishi Sunak.
The music legend said: “Rishi, Rod Stewart and Jools Holland here. I want to reach out and help people with scans when they can’t afford it.
“I will rent, any city in the world, I will rent the scan van, scan van and I will pay for it. I would also like us to keep backing the Ukraine and not pull out and give them everything they want.”
Back in February, Rod first made his MRI plea after he had returned home from his own scan and realised the “terrible injustice” within the NHS.

Calling into Sky News, he explained: “I had just come from my scan in a private clinic near Harley Street.
“I walked in and said ‘I’m terribly sorry, I’m half an hour late’. They said ‘Don’t worry, there’s hardly anybody in here today’.
“There were eight people with hardly anything to do. Then I thought this is a terrible injustice, so here we are.
“If this is a big success, which I think it will be, I’d like to do it in Belfast, Dublin, Edinburgh, Glasgow, Manchester, and just keep it going, and hope some other people follow me.
“Because I want to prove I’m not all mouth and trousers and that’s why I’m here to prove that I followed through with it.”
