Callum Highway (Tony Clay) has been caught between a rock and a hard place after corrupt DI Thompson blackmailed him into spying against Phil Mitchell (Steve McFadden) in EastEnders.
Thompson had the ammunition to jail Callum’s boyfriend Ben (Max Bowden) and Callum vowed to do anything to stop that happening – even putting his own future and liberty on the line.
Things got more complicated when Stuart (Ricky Champ) sought to deal with the issue of Thompson and assumed he had killed him – but he was mistaken.
And when Thompson returns to wreak revenge, he aims straight for Stuart, knowing that once again, Callum will surface out of loyalty to the people he loves.
But as he tries to find a way out of this mess – is it time to finally come clean to Ben and Phil what has been going on? And can they ever forgive him and understand who the real enemy is?
Or will he be ousted from the family forever?
Producer Jon Sen explained: ‘We’ve got the ongoing story of Callum and his duplicity in having gone undercover against Phil, all the while Ben is none-the-wiser and only falling deeper in love.’
With Ben realising his true priorities in life after a dark few years, Callum has really grounded him and they have the makings of a true love story.
With everything Ben has done, will he understand the bad choices Callum made for the good of their love?
Or could they hit the rocks? How good would it be for team Mitchell and Highway, Stuart and Phil included, to join forces and make Thompson rue the day he ever sneered Callum’s way?
