Stephen Fry admitted he would "cry with embarrassment" if he had to watch Strictly Come Dancing as he appeared on Friday's episode of The One Show.
The TV star, 64, was joined by Strictly star AJ Odudu and her pro partner Kai Widdrington on the sofa as he confessed that he is unable to watch the hit BBC series as dancing "doesn't appeal" to him.
As AJ, 33, and Kai, 26, discussed their time on Strictly so far, host Lauren Laverne asked Stephen: "Now Stephen, I know that you don't watch Strictly because you can't watch Strictly?"
To which he admitted: "I'm so sorry, it's embarrassment. I just find it… I kind of go funny about dancing, it doesn't appeal to me at all."
AJ was left shocked at the confession as she asked: "Even just watching it?!"
To which Stephen continued: "Yeah, I can't watch it!
"I can go back and watch Fred Astaire, you know, just about and really admire him. Obviously, but any… ah!
"So I've never seen the programme, I know about it because it's impossible to live in Britain without knowing about it."
Stephen added: "I don't really know how it works and I'm really sorry, I just know that I would cry with embarrassment if I watched it."
To which AJ hilariously joked: "No, you will be on it next year!"

Elsewhere during the chat, AJ was asked what her highlight has been on Strictly so far, to which she revealed: "Oh my gosh, all of it but I think nothing will ever top meeting Kai for the first time, us just getting on like a house on fire.
"Coming out on the Strictly ballroom and doing the jive. I was so shocked with everyone's positive comments! There's no feeling like it, it was amazing!"
It comes after AJ and Kai have sparked romance rumours over the past few weeks due to their sizzling chemistry on the show, with even It Takes Two host Rylan Clark grilling the duo last week after their Argentine Tango.
