Strictly Come Dancing fans have been left heartbroken after spotting the emotional reaction of a professional dancer who was eliminated from the competition.
The BBC series continued this weekend as the remaining couples took to the dancefloor for another week. After a tense dance-off against Bad Education star Layton Williams, it was revealed that broadcaster Angela Scanlon and partner Carlos Gu would be going home on Sunday (November 26).
Following the dance-off, three of the judges opted to save Layton, who is partnered with Nikita Kuzmin, over Angela and Carlos. Lead judge Shirley Ballas admitted that she would have saved the presenter over Layton, but was outvoted by Motsi Mabuse, Craig Revel Horwood and Anton du Beke.

After they were eliminated from the competition, 39-year-old Angela spoke fondly of her time on the dancefloor: "It's been honestly incredible. I'm gutted – really gutted – that it's finished now, but it has been the most wonderful experience."
Scanlon also paid tribute to her partner Carlos for supporting her throughout the gruelling rehearsals and training, branding him "such an incredible guy". The pair then did a lap of honour around the dancefloor, as the in-house band played Take That's 'Rule the World'.
Emotions then seemed to get the better of Gu, who could then be seen breaking down in tears. Angela came to comfort him as he seemed inconsolable, as others rushed to the floor to look after the duo.
Carlos could later be seen wiping away the tears after Angela had given him a tight hug. Fans watching the results immediately took to social media to offer their love to the dancer when they saw his emotional outburst.
One user watching the show at home wrote: "Angela and Carlos, what a lovely partnership. Carlos crying while dancing has broken me."
A second viewer agreed, saying: "No you're not allowed to make Carlos cry – group hug immediately!" Whilst a third chimed in: "Carlos spinning through his tears has ended me."
Layton and Nikita were also visibly upset after having eliminated the pair due to their dancing skills. The Strictly team then proceeded to rally around the pair for one last embrace from the group to keep spirits high.
Some fans watching the show slammed fellow viewers for failing to vote for the two pairs, thus putting both Layton and Angela in the bottom two. Others said the judges' decision to eliminate Angela from the competition was the wrong choice, calling for Layton to go.
This weekend saw Coronation Street star Ellie Leach and Vito Coppola reach the top of the leaderboard with a saucy Argentinian tango. After a sultry performance from the pair, Motsi and Shirley awarded a perfect ten to the pair.
However, some fans were less than pleased with the judges' scoring, adding that the pair should have been given a perfect score of 40. Vito and Ellie were saved by the public and can dance for another week.
Strictly Come Dancing airs every Saturday and Sunday on BBC One and BBC iPlayer.
