GMB’s Susanna Reid asks guest why she made her cry
Susanna Reid was left confused when Tracey Mallaghan claimed she was in tears after watching the host ask Insulate Britain spokesperson Liam Norton if his own house was insulated.
Tracey began: “Do you remember when Laura Tobin did a lovely segment last time Liam was on?
“He was in this seat. Laura Tobin did a segment on the science. Do you remember what you said afterwards because it made me cry Susanna?”
“Oh I’m sorry it made you cry. What was it?” the GMB host asked.
Tracey continued: “You don’t remember Laura Tobin giving…”

“Yes Laura Tobin is here every morning,” Susanna pointed out as Ed Balls chipped in: “We don’t really know what you’re talking about to be honest. So you may have to tell us a bit more.”
Tracey explained: “You turned to Liam and said, ‘Is your house insulated?’ Now all that’s doing is setting up up to shoot the messenger.”
“Yes because Liam is from Insulate Britain,” Susanna hit back. “Why did that make you cry?”
The host tried to move the interview along but Tracey brought up the incident again, asking: “You still don’t know why that made me cry?

“You don’t understand how us hearing about our children facing drought, famine and war and your response being ‘Is your house insulated Liam?’ broke my heart?”
Both Ed and Susanna shot a confused look at viewers as fellow guest Konstantin Kisin tried to join the debate.
Good Morning Britain viewers were quick to take to Twitter to slam the interview with @SarahHarkin2 posting: “@GMB I don’t know how Susanna and Ed are keeping a straight face with this woman if you’re going to fight a cause make sure you’re fully clued up and ready to reel off loads of examples. This is like going to an interview without preparing #gmb.”
