The Voice blind auditions are well underway and many acts have taken to the stage in a bid to impress judges Olly Murs, Sir Tom Jones, Anne Marie and Will.i.am. Each judge gets to pick eight acts to take through to the live shows, before having to whittle it down to just three. Olly, Sir Tom and Will.i.am have been staples on the ITV talent show for many years, however, newcomer Anne Marie joined her pals last year after taking over from Meghan Trainor.

While the star-studded panel has no plans of leaving The Voice, in an exclusive interview with Express.co.uk, Olly did address his future on the programme.

He also paid a sweet tribute to Sir Tom as he discussed his future on the judging panel.

“You have to remember, he has lived through the 50s, 60s, 70s, and 80s. So you imagine all the types of singers that have come and gone.

“I was saying earlier, our show this year is so diverse. We have had so many different talents, from classical singers to modern singers, to UK rappers to Spanish rappers.

“We had like all sorts of classical singers, opera singers. We have had everything.

“And it’s like, I think Tom just gets so excited by hearing all these new artists coming through and all these different styles.

“And he’s still here, he’s still in it,” the Troublemaker popstar beamed before adding: “I mean, I hope in 60 years I’m still rocking it on The Voice.”

Anne Marie chipped in: “Every time he does a show, I said to him, ‘Are you bored? Are you done?’

“And he’s like, ‘Every time I hear a new voice it’s the best feeling ever’. He loves it.”

The 2002 hitmaker went on to add that during filming for the latest series, she had to walk off set after Sir Tom sang a song as a tribute to his late wife, Linda.

“Tom sang one of his songs called Crumble for his wife,” Anne Marie recalled.

“And I had to walk off, not because it was bad, [but] because it was so emotional.

“I think this is like a testament to him and why he has been able to stay around [for] so long because he feels every word he says and every song he releases he means it.

“And he was singing that song and he said, ‘This is to my wife’ and he just f****d me up.”

Olly chipped in: “To see someone who loved his wife so much, you could see the pain.”

The judges will be back on Saturday night as another set of fresh talent takes to the stage.

Host Emma Willis will also be making her return to front the ITV talent show.

In recent weeks, The Voice has been hit with “fix” claims after the celebrity panel failed to turn for certain acts.

But, will the performers have what it takes to impress the coaches, and more importantly, will they turn their chairs?

The Voice returns at 8pm on ITV.
