The NBC star said his mantra when it comes to food is to “be healthy and eat good stuff.” When asked what he enjoys eating, Ventimiglia said he mostly eats “beans and rice, or different kinds of pasta” at home. Unlike his character, who ate big, family meals, the actor revealed he prefers snacking on foods like almonds rather than cooking.
“I feel like I’m more of a snack guy than a big meal guy,” he said.

On the pilot episode of This Is Us, fans watched as Rebecca gave birth to the Big Three on Jack’s birthday. “To be honest, I was like; it’s NBC, they’re not going to show anything,” he said.
Ventimiglia ended up showing his bare butt on screen. However, the actor’s physical trainer, Jason Walsh, said they didn’t need to do any extra workouts for him to get camera-ready. Additionally, Ventimiglia’s eating habits helped keep his physique intact.
“We really didn’t change much; we just kept doing our normal routine,” Walsh told People. “Milo has always been dedicated to his workouts.”
