TOP Gear production will be relocating from London to Bristol for 33rd series.
There's exciting times ahead for the BBC show as production moves to Bristol next year in Spring 2022.
The BBC Studios in Bristol is already a base for other BBC hit shows, including Countryfile, Antiques Roadshow and DIY SOS.
The Natural History Unit, which produces series such as “Blue Planet II” and “Springwatch” is also based there.
The studios are currently in London and the track in Dunsfold Aerodrome in Surrey will be continued to be used, as the BBC calls it the show’s “spiritual home.”
The motoring show's 33rd series will be the first to be made in Bristol.
Director Hannah Wyatt said: "Our Bristol hub is an already incredibly successful and vibrant production base that makes many of our highly popular returning factual entertainment series and blue-chip natural history titles.
"So the Top Gear team will be in very good creative company. It's an exciting move for the show."
Presenters Freddie Flintoff, Paddy McGuinness and Chris Harris will be returning for the next season.
Fans have really taken to the trio since they first hosted together in 2018.
Some memorable moments include Paddy crashing a Lamborghini Diablo in Yorkshire in 2020.
And Freddie previously smashing into a market stall during filming in Mansfield in 2019 and crashing a motorised trike last year.
Earlier this year, Chris told the BBC the show had got "too carried away" with foreign trips.
"Always having to go further and further away to Timbuktu or wherever you want to go, maybe we got a bit too carried away with that in the past.
"Top Gear is a show that people expect to be filmed abroad at times, but I think in the new world, after Covid, maybe we won't go abroad as much as we did before. That's not a bad thing, because we all hate airports."
