Helen married actor Oliver Boot, who she met on the set of Hotel Babylon, in December 2012.
In August 2015 the couple confirmed their split — they are currently separated, but not divorced.

They have two daughters together — Wren Ivy, six, and Lark, who turns two in November, with her ex partner and co-star.
Helen spoke about what connected them after the birth of her Lark, saying: "You’re on set for a long time every day and you don’t get to see many other people.
"We are like-minded people who understand the industry, the career and the long hours."
Helen and jack broke up earlier this year after being together for seven years.
Helen shared the sad news in a statement online: "Some months ago, we separated.
"Our two beautiful girls remain the focus and I respectfully ask for privacy for this next chapter."
And it seems history may be repeating itself, as George was recently spotted leaving co-star Olly Rix’s home.
The actors, who play on-screen lovers Trixie Franklin and Matthew Aylward, are said to have been comforting each other following both splitting from their partners.
On the morning on November 5, Olly, 36, was spotted at his West London house, from which Helen, 39, was later seen emerging.
Helen lives ten miles away in East London.
