ACTOR Clarke Peters has signed up for Celebrity MasterChef to show off his cooking skills.
The household name will appear alongside other celebs, but who is he?
Who is Clarke Peters?
Clarke Peters is best known for his TV and film career.
He first discovered his love for acting when he was just 12 when he appeared in a school production of My Fair Lady.
The star moved to London in 1973 from New Jersey where he changed his name from Peter Clarke to Clarke Peters.
He found there were already multiple people with his name so decided to swap it around.
Before having an extensive theatre career, he found himself working in a band and as a backup singer.

Clarke is best known for appearing in popular TV shows and films.
He is known for playing Detective Lester Freamon in the HBO series The Wire as well as starring in the HBO mini-series The Corner.
Back in 2008 the actor appeared in two episodes of the U.S. time-travel/detective TV series Life On Mars as NYPD Captain Fletcher Bellow.
In the UK, Clarke acted in Holby City, as Derek Newman who is the father of nurse Donna Jackson.

Is Clarke married and does he have children?
Clarke has five children and has been married two times.
He and his first wife, Janine Martyne had two children together, a daughter, China Clarke who is an architect, and a son, Peter Clarke who works as a tattoo artist.
Following his first marriage he had a relationship with Joanna Jacobs where they had two sons, Joe Jacobs who is an actor and Guppy, who died of a kidney tumour in 1992, at the age of four.
Clarke went on to have another son with his second wife Penny.
Their son Max played the young Michael Jackson in the West End production of the musical Thriller – Live.
