- Civil Guard officers are trying to identify the alleged aggressor
Police are hunting a taxi driver said to have sexually assaulted a British teenager in the party resort of Magaluf.
The 17-year-old went to a police station with his mum to make a statement after the alleged early-hours incident in the back of the cab.
Respected island paper Ultima Hora said the youngster had told cops the cabbie began touching him up as they headed from party strip Punta Ballena to the tourist’s hotel before demanding he perform a sex act on him.
The incident led to a tussle inside the taxi which ended with the taxi driver physically assaulting the teenager who hurt his head on the cab door as he fled the vehicle, according to local reports.

A spokesman for the force confirmed this morning: ‘An allegation has been made and we are investigating.’
Earlier this week it emerged a British man had been arrested on suspicion of sexually assaulting another UK tourist at a hotel in Magaluf.
The 48-year-old man is said to have approached the female holidaymaker from behind and put his hands down the 20-year-old woman’s trousers before touching her private parts.
The alleged victim, who was stayed at the same unnamed hotel as the male holidaymaker, told cops he was a stranger she had never met before.
A hotel receptionist alerted police who arrested the suspect shortly after arriving at the hotel.
Last month two male Irish holidaymakers were arrested on suspicion of raping a British woman in a hotel in Magaluf.
The pair were held at Palma Airport on July 19 as they were preparing to board a flight to Dublin.
They were remanded in prison pending an ongoing investigation.
