Bullies filmed themselves punching my son in the face and ordering him to ‘get naked’ – I’m so devastated I can’t sleep

A DEVASTATED dad has been left unable to eat or sleep after vicious bullies filmed themselves beating up his 13-year-old son and ordering him to strip naked.

Kevin McMahon, 43, was “destroyed” by the harrowing footage, which shows his son Aiden Hersey, 13, being attacked by a group of thugs in Roehampton, South West London, on Sunday.

Gas engineer Kevin posted the shocking clip online in a desperate bid to “get these kids through their own medium which is social media".

And Aiden has since gained mass support from viewers, with ex England captain John Terry among those condemning the attack.

Holding back tears, Kevin told The Sun Online: "I was destroyed, I'm totally devastated.

“I've been sick, I can't eat. All of those boys were punching him repeatedly for 40 minutes, dragging him from block to block.

"Then after beating him like that they robbed him, tried to tell him to strip, which he didn't –  'get naked' – kicked him and then he walked home."

The video shows a group of boys, who cannot be named for legal reasons, taking turns to kick and punch Aiden, before telling him to “strip down” and “get naked”.

Aiden appears calm and composed throughout, although dad Kevin said he could tell his son was scared.

The dad-of-four added: "I finally watched it and I was so proud of what he was.

“He was being punched in the face and he just recovers. He's being punched again and again."

The year nine schoolboy was playing with pals at a football ground near his home in South London late on Sunday afternoon when the attack started.

He was robbed of his shoes and coat and was forced to walk home barefoot.

But it was only when the teen's mum was told about the footage by a friend that evening that she and Kevin learned what had happened.

'I CAN'T WATCH IT'

Aiden's mum Angela Hersey, 36, said: "I haven’t seen the video – I can't watch it, I just can't. It makes me feel sick.

"I'm shaking right now, I can't stop shaking, I can't eat, I can't drink, I can’t go to work.

“At the moment all I care about is Aiden’s mental health. He’s not showing much, I think he’s still in shock.”

Angela, who works with children and babies in intensive care, said her son’s face is still so puffy “he can’t open his mouth or brush his teeth”.

And the inpatient ward administrator said he has been told he can go back to hospital to have scans on his head to check for any further damage.

Of her son, she added: “Aiden’s a very quiet boy but he’s very sociable.

I can't stop shaking, I can't eat, I can't drink, I can’t go to work.

"He can meet someone very easily and he gets along with everyone.

“He didn’t know [the alleged bullies], he just knew one from the school he went to.”

Love and support has flooded in for Aiden since the attack, with John Terry and former heavyweight champ Lennox Lewis among those showing their support.

John Terry tweeted: “This is heartbreaking.

“It has actually made me feel sick! If anyone knows this young boy that is being bullied please let me know.

“I would like to invite him to a @ChelseaFC match and to give him one of my signed shirts and armbands.”

Tweeting Angela, Lennox Lewis, wrote: "Very sorry your son had to go through this. Can’t even comprehend why they did this.

"There should be no tolerance for bullying. Sending u a DM. I’d love to speak to him."

Angela added Brit rapper Silky also took Aiden out for the day this week, treating him to some new trainers and an iPhone.

'BULLIES DO NOT WIN'

Aiden’s parents have said they are "so thankful" for all the love and support and are overwhelmed to see a GoFundMe page was set up for Aiden, which has so far raised over £10,000 for the teen.

In a message to other children, Angela said: “I want other little children who are getting bullied to just speak up – just come forward.

“Bullies do not win.”
