A French fashion designer, 37, was killed after being hit by a car on a cycling holiday in Wales, an inquest heard.
Laure Severac was cycling on a country road in Powys, Mid Wales, on August 17 when was involved in the crash – suffering head injuries.
Emergency services rushed to the scene but Ms Severac sadly died from her injuries two days later at University Hospital in Cardiff.
The inquest at at Pontypridd Coroner’s Court heard that Ms Severac’s provisional cause of death was a traumatic brain injury.
A tribute was paid to award-winning Ms Severac by the Royal Academy of Fine Arts Antwerp, Belgium – where she was a teacher in the Fashion department, according to the BBC.

It said: ‘It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of Laure Severac, teacher at the fashion department and researcher at the Royal Academy of Fine Arts Antwerp.
‘Laure died on 19 August following a traffic accident while on her cycling holiday in Wales.’
The tribute added that Ms Severac practised her art in the fields of ‘architecture, fashion, textiles, and crafts’.
‘Laure was especially beloved and valued by her colleagues as well by her students,’ it added.
‘We will greatly miss her energy and expertise, and we will build upon her legacy. Our thoughts are with Laure’s family and friends.’
The inquest was told Ms Severac had been cycling between Abercrave and Coelbren when the crash happened.
The hearing was adjourned to a date to be fixed.
