The bizarre scene played out as cricket fans this afternoon watched day three of the first Test of the Ashes at the Birmingham stadium.
It remains unclear as to why the Darth Vader lookalike, who was wearing a black cloak holding a lightsaber, was forcibly removed from the UK’s fourth largest cricket stadium.

As the scene played out on TV, BBC Sport commentators asked: ‘Has Darth Vader been arrested?’
‘I just saw the back of that. Darth Vader, I think, being escorted out of the ground. That’ll cause trouble,’ the BBC commentator said.
The England vs Australia test match saw the two national teams face each other for another day.

A spokesperson for West Midlands Police told MailOnline the situation ‘wasn’t a police matter.’
