Hundreds of festive revellers dressed as Father Christmas for the annual London Santacon today have been warned to be ‘sensible’, not to litter and definitely not to urinate in the street.

Santacon is a non-profit, non-political, non-religious and non-sensical Christmas parade that traditionally takes place in London one Saturday every December. The parade originated in San Francisco.
The ‘Don’t be “that” Santa’ section of the website says to pick up litter, to wait to go to the toilet at the pit stops provided, and to ‘be sensible’.
The website states: ‘There’s no particular reason to dress up in Santa suits, run around, give gifts, sing songs, have strangers sit on our laps and decide who is naughty or nice. But it’s a lot of fun so Santa does it anyway!’
It says to bring: a Santa outfit, something warm and possibly waterproof, carol sheets, and presents for the kids.
