Hotter than Barcelona… and there’s more to come! Sunseekers flock to beaches and parks to enjoy 22C highs ahead of ‘warmest day of the year’ tomorrow

Sunseekers today enjoyed another sunny Sunday as people across the UK took advantage of hotter temperatures than in Barcelona.
The hot sun saw temperatures in Cardiff and Manchester hit heights of 21°C compared to just 18°C in Spain’s second largest city.
The heat saw sunbathers flock to parks and beaches as forecasters said temperatures are set to rise even further tomorrow.
They predicted temperatures could hit highs of 22°C tomorrow marking the ‘warmest day of the year’ so far.
The Met Office also said there’s likely to be sunny spells throughout the week, particularly in England and Wales.

Temperatures were forecast to rise throughout the day on Sunday, before peaking at around 3-4pm this afternoon, with highs of 21°C in the North West of England and Wales.
Those in Scotland and Northern Ireland were, however, set to experience chillier weather, with temperatures peaking at just 9°C in Aberdeen.
Scotland and Northern Ireland were also forecast to experience light showers throughout the day, while England and Wales are set to remain dry all Sunday.
The weather is set to remain warm throughout the rest of the evening before hitting highs of more than 20°C again tomorrow.
The seaside town of Weymouth in Dorset is expected to experience the hottest temperatures, with peaks of 22°C.
Sunbathers also flocked to the beach at the seaside resort of Lyme Regis to enjoy the sun
The West coast of the country is forecast to get hotter temperatures than the East, with temperatures in Norwich set to hit highs of 16°C compared to 21°C in Exeter.
The East coast of Britain is also set to experience breezier weather than the West, with wind speeds topping 16 mph in Dover and 13 mph in Dundee.
Nonetheless, major cities across the country, including London, Leeds, and Birmingham, will all see temperatures topping 20°C.
Scotland is set to see the coldest temperatures throughout the day, with heat in Edinburgh expected to top out at just 13°C.
Meanwhile, Northern Ireland is also set to experience cooler temperatures than England and Wales, with Belfast forecast to see peak temperatures of just 14°C.
The chillier weather in Scotland and Northern Ireland comes as showers are expected sweep across the two countries well into the night.
