A WOMAN has died after being hit by a bus on a busy high street.
Cops were called to Tooting High Street in south London at 12.15pm on Friday after the woman, 77, was hit by a 131 bus.
Paramedics including an air ambulance had been scrambled to the scene minutes earlier.
They took the elderly woman to a major trauma centre as a priority case.
She died from her injuries on Saturday – with cops now appealing for witnesses to come forward.
Eleven bus routes were diverted after the road was closed in both directions for the rest of the day.
The Met is now appealing for witnesses or drivers with dashcam to get in touch by calling 101 quoting 3044/3NOV.
