A 24-year-old woman has been charged after a shocking video of her stealing an Amazon van for a joyride before falling out the door went viral last week.
Elizabeth Celeste-Tristen Frasier has been charged with one count of unlawfully driving away an automobile and failure to stop at a property damage accident.
In the footage Frasier – dressed in a white shirt and bowtie – is caught jumping into an Amazon van and driving off, before swerving so hard that she falls out and the van crashes.
The incident happened in broad daylight near Calvin Avenue Southeast and Hazen Street in Grand Rapids, Michigan, around 1.15pm last Saturday, according to Kent County Prosecutor Chris Becker.
The whole episode was captured on a surveillance camera inside the Amazon van.
In the video Frasier leaps into the van’s driver’s seat.
A man, who appears to be the Amazon driver, can be seen in the background returning to the vehicle and looking inside but then backing away helplessly.
Frasier doesn’t waste any time, quickly sitting down in the seat and waggling the gearshift before setting off.
She takes a few turns before warming up and starting to jerk the steering wheel from side to side, causing the van to swerve wildly.
At first she is concentrating on the road, leaning forward over the steering wheel.
But then, as the vehicle begins to swerve she starts to grimace and laugh.
As the van gains momentum, she loses control and flies off the seat through the open door on the other side.

The charges are punishable by 5 years in prison, plus 90 days and a $100 fine.
Speaking to 13 ON YOUR SIDE, an Amazon spokesperson said: ‘We’re glad the driver is ok after this terrifying incident and we’re working with the Grand Rapids Police Department as they investigate.’
