AceShowbiz –Jason Hitch has passed away. According to his sibling, Shannon, the former star of “90 Day Fiance” died in a hospital in Florida after suffering from COVID-19 complications. He was 45 years old.
Shannon informed TMZ on Wednesday, December 15 that the reality TV personality’s family was able to be present at his bedside. Shannon also said that they could hold his hand when he passed away in the ICU on Tuesday.
Shannon also told the outlet that her brother didn’t have any preexisting conditions and was not vaccinated. Shannon described the 45-year-old reality star as a “true and honest shooter, a great officer and leader to his men.” She added, “He will be missed by his family and many friends and fans whom he adored.”
Jason starred in season 2 of “90 Day Fiance”, which aired in 2014. He married Cassia Tavares, a Brazilian woman who had moved to the United States to be with him, on the show.
However, they split in 2017. Jason later filed for divorce in January 2018 after he was charged with domestic battery. The charges were later dropped. In April that year, their divorce case was dismissed as they were “at the very beginning stages of reconciling.”
“I still love her,” Jason said at the time. He added, “I don’t want a divorce. I love her and I want to take care of her. What kind of man would I be if I quit this relationship?” He went on detailing, “We text everyday. I saw her last weekend. I’ll see her next weekend. She graduates in May.”
Jason filed for divorce again that September as things didn’t work out. They then finalized the proceedings in October 2018. Opening up about their marriage breakdown, Jason told Radar in 2019, “A successful relationship is communication, physical attraction and doing whatever it takes. Right now it’s time to go in different directions. I think we’ll remain friends. She knows I have her best interests at heart.”
Defending his former wife, Jason added, “She did not come here just to become anAmerican citizen. She had a good life in Brazil. She was about to finish college. She didn’t have to marry me.” He also stated that there would be “no alimony payments” and “no fighting” between them as they went separate ways.
As for Cassia, she revealed via Instagram in February that she had remarried. “We got married at the courthouse today!” she captioned her wedding photos. “Sadly, we couldn’t do a bigger ceremony because of COVID. Also, his mom hasn’t been feeling well for some days now, but she made an effort to be with us. Yet, today is a special day that we’ll cherish forever.”
