Adele, 33, has addressed the furious fan backlash she faced after cancelling her Las Vegas residency and admitted she feels “regret” over the situation. Adele made the admission while appearing on The Graham Norton Show, which is set to air this evening, and finally addressed when the shows will go ahead.

When quizzed on the cancellations, Adele said: “I tried my hardest and really thought I would be able to pull something together in time.

“I regret that I kept going until that late in the day.

“It would have been a really half-a***d show and I can’t do that. People will see straight through me up on the stage and know I didn’t want to be doing it.

“I’ve never done anything like that in my life and I’m not going to start now.”

On when the tour will go ahead, Adele said she and her team are “working our a***s off”.

However, she confessed that she doesn’t want to announce a new set of dates until she knows “everything will definitely be ready”.

Luckily, she did assure fans that the tour will be happening before the end of 2022.

The singer added: “The sooner I can announce the better, but I just can’t in case we are not ready in time. It is absolutely 100 percent happening this year.”

The Easy On Me singer then said that her Vegas gigs have “to happen this year” because she has “got plans for next year”.

The mother-of-one went on to joke that the tour could be postponed even longer because she wants to expand her family.

Adele currently has one child, nine-year-old Angelo, with her ex-husband Simon Konecki.

Speaking to Graham, the BRIT Award winner joked: “Imagine if I have to cancel because I am having a baby.

“I will be disappearing in terms of my music, but you might see a glimpse of me now and then and I won’t be in complete hiding.

“It takes me a while to recharge, and I would like to have more children – I only just feel like I’ve caught up with my sleep from nine years ago when I had my son.”

Adele also addressed rumours she is engaged to boyfriend Rich Paul after she was spotted wearing a huge diamond ring at the BRITs earlier this week.

She neither confirmed nor denied the speculation, but could be seen wearing the ring on her engagement finger once again.

When asked about the ring, Adele cryptically said: “If I was [engaged] would I ever tell anyone if I was or wasn’t?”

Adele and her American sports agent boyfriend have been in a relationship since early 2021 after meeting at a birthday party three years prior.

Rich Paul founded Klutch Sports Group in 2012, which represents a number of NBA players including LeBron James, Ben Simmons and John Wall.

His net worth is estimated to be roughly £88 million ($120 million), according to Celebrity Net Worth.

The Graham Norton Show airs Friday 11 February BBC One 10.35pm and available on BBC iPlayer.
