Amanda Owen, the star of Our Yorkshire Farm, has vowed to continue to wear “inappropriate” clothing even despite countless viewers calling her out and claiming it wasn’t suitable attire for work on a farm.
The 47 year old TV star, who runs the iconic farm at Ravenseat, near Keld in North Yorkshire, recently faced a huge backlash from fans after she was pictured wearing a fitted body con dress and heels during a selfie snap shared on social media.
Fans were quick to condemn the Yorkshire Shepherdess for her choice of clothing, with many saying that “fame had changed her.”
Yet the mother-of-nine dismissed the claims, insisting her days are still fully devoted to the farm.
“It’s still all about the farm” she confirmed, before arguing that one glamorous look every so often didn’t affect her capability as a shepherdess.
Amanda is currently busy preparing for her upcoming appearance at The Game Fair in Warwickshire’s Ragley Hall, an annual event that sees people passionate about countryside pursuits come together and celebrate all things rural.
When asked what visitors could expect from her headline appearance, the witty farmer told YorkshireLive : “Big earrings, inappropriate clothing and plain speaking. Whatever they expect I won't be it.”
Clearly undeterred by the negative comments, Amanda has vowed to continue doing what she does best, and will even be on hand to meet and greet fans at the three-day event, in addition to creating a farmhouse breakfast menu for the restaurant.
The news comes just weeks after Amanda confirmed her split from her partner Clive, after 21 years together.
In a joint statement released earlier this month, she wrote: "Clive and I have are sad to confirm that we have made the difficult decision to separate.
"This hasn't been easy, but we both believe it's the right choice for the future of our family."
The statement continued: "Although we are no longer a couple, we continue to work on the farm and co-parent together with our number one priority the happiness and well-being of our children."
While the split will likely come as a blow to many fans who have been enchanted by the couple’s happy family during the series, Channel 5 have confirmed that the show will continue even despite the separation.
In a statement the network said: "We respect the privacy of Amanda and Clive Owen at this time.
"They are very much a part of the Channel 5 family and we will continue to work with them in the future."
