Bradley Walsh says Anne Hegerty is 'terrifying'

The Governess Anne Hegerty, 62, got herself in a pickle on Wednesday, after she accidentally announced the wrong time that Beat The Chasers would be airing last night. After confirming that the new series would be continuing at 8:30pm, she was quickly corrected by her colleague.

Kicking off on Monday night, the show will be running consecutively throughout the course of this week.
Clearly overcome with excitement as new contestants try their luck at taking on all five quizzers, Anne took to Twitter to remind fans not to miss the next instalment.
She penned: “#BeattheChasers continues tonight, on @itv and @wearestv, 8.30pm!”
It wasn’t long before new recruit to the panel Darragh Ennis, quickly pointed out that she had mistakenly stated the wrong time.
He replied with a joke: “And by 8.30, we of course mean 9pm!”
Anne soon realised her mistake, saying: “I’m on the other side of the world, it’s amazing I can remember my own name!”
The latest show welcomes back the return of Anne and Darragh, Mark Labbett aka The Beast, Shaun Wallace known as The Dark Destroyer and Jenny Ryan (The Vixen), with Sinnerman Paul Sinha taking a break after falling ill during filming.
Anne recently gave an update to Express.co.uk on the health of her co-star, saying: “He wasn’t very well, he is a lot better now and he is looking forward to getting back to work.
“He was happy to get back to work as soon as possible, but the specialist was saying, ‘No you do need a few weeks off.’”
The quizmaster lamented his absence: “It didn’t feel quite right without Paul, it doesn’t feel right if any of us are missing.
“But, we always intended to film with all six chasers and when one of us suddenly couldn’t, they rebuilt the set and repositioned some of the lights.
“It’s a pity, but he will be back for future series.”
The Governess added that Paul’s absence prompted the Chasers to “step up” as a team.
She went on to say that she and her fellow quizzers were looking forward to having him back on the panel.
At the time, Paul took to Twitter to explain his absence.
He wrote: “New episodes of Beat the Chasers are on their way.
“Unfortunately, I wasn’t well for the recordings and couldn’t join in this time around. I’m feeling much better now.”
It is not known what the quizzer’s illness was and whether or not it was related to his Parkinson’s disease, which he was diagnosed with in 2019.
