Charlotte Dawson shares heartbreaking update on baby son as she’s told what diagnosis is

Charlotte Dawson has shared a heartbraking update on her baby son Jude as she revealed to her followers that he has RSV bronchitis.

Charlotte and her fiancé, Matt Sarsfield rushed their baby to A&E yesterday where the mum shared snap showing Jude with tubes in his nose. She captioned the picture: “My poor baby, what an emotional traumatic 24 hours… in safe hands now."

Giving her fans and followers updates, the mum of two has now revealed that her youngest has been diagnosed with "RSV bronchitis" and that they will remain in hospital for “a few days”.

Sharing another snap of her poorly son, Charlotte said: “Thank you so much for all your messages on my beautiful baby boy.. Didn't want to put anything on until I knew what it was.

“He had RSV bronchitis, Thankgod we came in when we did. So heartbreaking seeing him like this. We are in here for a few days he is now hopefully on the mend.”

According to the NHS: “Bronchiolitis is caused by a viral infection, usually the respiratory syncytial virus (RSV). RSV is very common and spreads easily in coughs and sneezes. Almost all children have had it by the time they're 2. In older children and adults, RSV may cause a cough or cold, but in young children it can cause bronchiolitis.”

Charlotte went into more detail on her stories and said: “Last night was very scary and traumatic and very emotional.”

She went on to say that she hasn’t been very well recently and visited the doctors on Monday along with Jude, where they told her he was a bit “chesty” and to keep her eye on him.

Charlotte then said he started “screaming” in the night and she knew something wasn’t right. After another visit to the doctors they were sent back home but Charlotte said he started “wheezing” and “deteriorating massively” so she took him to the hospital.

“We came up to hospital and the nurses said thank god you’ve come now because his oxygen levels were so low, they saw me straight away, they were so good with me.”

After numerous tests, Charlotte was told she would be staying in hospital for a few days and is keen to get him “on the mend”.

Charlotte is also son to two year old Noah who she said will be visiting them in hospital tomorrow.
