Cheryl makes rare appearance as she reunites with Girls Aloud’s Nicola Roberts at event

Cheryl made a rare public appearance on Tuesday (June 28) as she attended the press night for Fantastically Great Women Who Changed The World in London.

The singer, 38, looked stunning as she posed for photographs wearing a plunging black top which she teamed with grey and white plaid trousers.

Cheryl accessorised her look with a black snakeskin clutch bag and matching black heels. She opted to wear her long brunette locks in loose curls.

Her look was completed with dramatic eyeliner and a nude shade of lipstick. At the event she was reunited with fellow Girls Aloud member Nicola Roberts.

Nicola, 36, rocked a sleeveless black top which featured a cinched waist. She paired it with a pair of cream pinstripe trousers and peep toe black heels.

Fantastically Great Women Who Changed The World has been adapted from Kate Pankhurst’s award-winning book.

The on stage performance has been described as a pop musical starring "independent icons who really did change the world".

The story follows a young girl called Jade who loses her classmates during a school visit at the museum after trying to sneak peak at the not-yet-open Gallery of Greatness.

Throughout her journey, Jade meets incredible women such as Marie Curie, Amelia Earhart and Emmeline Pankhurst.

It's not the last time fans can expect to see Cheryl and Nicola reuniting as Girls Aloud will take part in a charity run in memory of their late friend and bandmate Sarah Harding in July.

Sarah tragically died in September 2021, aged just 39, after losing her battle with breast cancer. Speaking on Instagram, Cheryl announced the whole band would be taking part in the fundraiser.

She said: "Around this time last year when Sarah was really sick, we were desperately trying to find way to help and comfort her.

"You feel so helpless at times like that. One of the only things she really wanted was a gala dinner.

"While that's underway and we are doing that, we felt like we could be doing more. We've decided to do Race for Life for Sarah at Hyde Park on 24th July.

"I know so many of you want to support her and we'd really love it if you could join us. Walk with us for five miles, but also don't worry if you can't join us, people are doing it virtually too. I hope to see you there."

The run will kick off at 11.30am on July 24 in London's Hyde Park, with the Race For Life For Sarah being a special addition to the Race For Life event taking place that day.
