Eamonn Holmes, 63, has been keeping his 780,000 Instagram followers up to date on his rehab journey and the training involved.

“Slow progress … but great dedication to me here.”

He continued: “I’m so desperate for results.”

The Irish presenter could be seen working hard on the machine in his session with Neurokinex.

The social enterprise describes itself as a “specialised activity-based rehab for people living with paralysis”.

Users were quick to share their supportive messages and their own experiences dealing with chronic pain.

They wrote: “Keep going we are right behind you!” and “Come on Eamon x we’re all rooting for you x”.(sic)

Fellow celebrities also rooted for Eamonn, including Carol Vorderman’s, 62, who posted “Champ” followed by four clapping emojis.

He was last spotted in public relying on crutches whilst attending the memorial service of late Ann Summer’s founder Jacqueline Gold, 62, last week.

Eamonn was missing in action last year after undergoing a last-minute treatment on his back.

He had suffered a slipped disk after a freak accident and shared on GB News that a surgeon had cut into his back to relieve some of the pressure.

The German surgeon’s recommendation proved semi-successful and came from a surprising contact.

Eamonn was contacted by S Club 7 member Jo O’Meara, who shared her experience with extensive back problems and suggested he visit the doctor.

The operation was successful to an extent, with his symptoms improving in his back, but having lost feeling in his legs in 2022.

However, two weeks into his recovery he was rushed once more to the hospital following a fall down a spiral staircase in his Surrey home.

He said to the Daily Mail: “Suddenly it was as if someone had shot my left knee from behind.

“It literally collapsed without any warning.

“Blood was pouring out my mouth, and a bone was sticking out my shoulder.”

He continued that wife and Loose Women co-host Ruth Langsford, 63, rushed to his aid: “She kept saying, ‘You’re fine, everything’s okay, you’re fine.’ I said, ‘Ruthie, there is a bone sticking out of my shoulder — I’m not fine’.”

Since then, the former ITV host has revealed he is also rehabilitating using boxing sessions.
