Hairy Bikers star Si King has confessed to planting celebrity chef Gordon Ramsay’s thongs, which were thrown at him by female fans, for his former wife to find. In an unearthed interview, the silver-bearded cook admitted to taking a thong that had been pelted at the chef during a celebrity appearance in Birmingham, which he then strategically placed around his house to ensure his now-ex-wife Jane would find it.

Speaking about the incident, Si said that he and fellow Hairy Biker Dave Myers went on stage after the Hell’s Kitchen chef.
Si said: “We were appearing at the NEC after Gordon Ramsay once, and there was this pile of thongs in the corner that had been thrown on stage.”
Not wanting to present next to a pile of women’s underwear, Si described how he chucked them back into the audience.
“So when we went on, we threw them back again,” Si explained.
However, the Hairy Biker admitted to keeping one of the items of lingerie so that he could humbly brag about having a pair of the celebrity chef’s underwear to his wife.
Si planted the lingerie at the time, to ensure his former wife would come across the item.
“I kept one and left it in my briefcase, where my wife would find it, just so I could say, ‘Oh, those are Gordon Ramsay’s,'” he told The Telegraph.
Si was with his ex-wife Jane for 27 years before their relationship broke down.
Together they share three sons Alex, James, and Dylan.
Si previously attributed the breakdown of his marriage to the pressures of the “brutal” industry he works in.
Speaking about splitting from his ex-wife, Si said: “We lost each other. Jane was focused on the family and I was focused on work.
“The reality is the industry we work in is incredibly brutal.
“There are timelines and deadlines. You have to be on form. Some people can do it. I find it quite difficult,” he told the Daily Mail’s Weekend magazine four years ago.
The Hairy Biker proposed to his Australian chef girlfriend Michele Cranston in 2019 and made plans to marry this year.
But last month, the star split from his long-distance fiancée.
Si met chef Michelle in 2018, while filming in Australia.
They had been flying back and forth to Australia once a month, to continue their relationship, according to The Mirror.
Speaking about the romantic proposal in California, Si said: “I got down on one knee on the Sonoma Coast – over the Pacific with the waves crashing down.
“It was very romantic but it almost killed us because it was getting dark…
“We get married in 2021 and I’ll be commuting from Australia for work, so that’ll be interesting.”
