The rise of Daisy May Cooper! Inside the transformation of the actress and comedian following her extreme makeover amid claims she is set to star in the next James Bond film
She is reportedly in talks to star in the James Bond films as spy chief ‘M’ and has undergone a dramatic image transformation over the past couple of years.
And amid Daisy May Cooper’s stratospheric rise to stardom, she is said to have caught the eye of production bosses who hope she will being some humour and a unique style to the role.
The actress, 37, best known for writing and staring in BBC mockumentary This Country, would take on the part previously held by A-list stars including Dame Judi Dench and Ralph Fiennes.
Daisy’s image overhaul came following her split from ex-husband Will Weston, who she shares her two children, Pip, four, and Jack, two.
The TV star has previously cited the Keto Diet as the reason behind her weight loss, as she noted it is the only style of healthy eating she has ever enjoyed.

So with even bigger things happening for Daisy and a glamorous new look, we take a look at her Hollywood-ready transformation.
BOND RUMOURS
The possibility is said to have come about after Daisy’s good friend Phoebe Waller-Bridge, 37, joined the production as a script consultant.
Bosses are apparently keen to overhaul the films now Daniel Craig has left as 007 after the release of his last film No Time To Die in September 2021.
A source told The Sun: ‘Daisy is a close pal of Phoebe, whose involvement in Bond was such a success that it sparked an unlikely conversation.
‘Suddenly the production team were getting excited about the prospect of really taking ‘M’ in a different direction.
‘With Daniel leaving, it seemed the time to start looking at changes across the board and the dynamic between Bond and ‘M’ is at the heart of the films.
‘So this opens the door to it being a bit lighter and more comedic going forwards — and will of course impact the direction the new 007 goes in too.’
MailOnline has contacted a representative for Daisy and EON Productions for comment.

KETO DIET
Last year, Daisy revealed she had been using the Keto Diet to slim down after lockdown, which involves eating foods which are low carb and high fat.
In a candid chat with Grazia magazine in October, discussing her appearance, Daisy said: ‘I’m so for body positivity but when I was at my biggest I was at my most miserable and I had a massive food addiction. I wasn’t healthy. I couldn’t breathe when I was walking up the stairs. I was so unhappy.’
What is the Keto Diet?
The keto diet involves eating a high fat, low carb diet.
It has been used to treat children with epilepsy, but it is also effective for weight loss.
The diet changes the body’s metabolic state, putting it into ketosis.
Ketosis is when the body burns fat as its primary source of fuel, rather than carbohydrates.
This includes burning through stored-up body fat.
Daisy first revealed she was following the Keto Diet in a now deleted Instagram post.
She was forced to apologise to fans who were offended by the weight loss post as she admitted: ‘I should have known better.’
Daisy said she’s been following the low carbohydrate plan since welcoming her second child in September 2021 and took to social media to show off her slimmed down tummy.
However, the before and after pictures were met by a huge backlash from her social media following, prompting the This Country actress to hit the delete button.
Responding to the criticism in her Instagram Story, Daisy wrote: ‘I’m extremely sorry. Thank you so much to everyone who called me out on it. Love you all.’
Earlier in the day, Daisy posed up in her bathroom to show off the results of her new health regime that she said was the ‘only diet she’s ever really enjoyed.’
In the caption she wrote: ‘Anyone else doing keto? My mate Sarah and my da suggested I give it a try and I’m shocked at how quickly weight is dropping off.
‘Forgive the s***e mirrors and grey bra and the fact im not standing in the same position so I look like a midget on the right…
‘And don’t panic… im not going to be promoting any s**t weightloss dvds or products. Pic on the right taken 1st of Jan. Be grateful for any keto tips, only diet I’ve ever really enjoyed.’
Her comments were met with fury with a disabled single mother calling out Daisy for referring to herself as a ‘midget’ in the post.
She later thanked Daisy for taking the pictures and caption down and asked her to address the mistake publicly ‘in order to raise awareness among your large fan base that seemingly don’t find an issues with this s***.’
Daisy said she was happy to make the apology and admitted she ‘should have know better.’
WEIGHT LOSS BACKLASH

In October Daisy revealed that she had been trolled after losing weight.
She confessed she has since been flooded with messages telling her that she’s ‘no longer funny’ since changing her appearance.
Discussing her appearance, Daisy said: ‘I’m so for body positivity but when I was at my biggest I was at my most miserable and I had a massive food addiction. I wasn’t healthy. I couldn’t breathe when I was walking up the stairs. I was so unhappy.
‘And I’ve had some messages like, “Well, now you’ve lost the weight you’re not funny any more.” What the f”k? Why do women have to be f king fat to be funny? That makes me so angry. I champion anybody. I think everybody should be happy with their body. But I wasn’t.’
NEW LOOK
Daisy first unveiled her glamorous makeover on Instagram in 2021 as reports first emerged she had split from her ex Will.
Daisy posed for a mirror selfie in black skinny jeans and her hair scraped back in an Ariana Grande inspired ponytail as she revealed her look after being unveiled as one of the new team captains on Never Mind The Buzzcocks.
Daisy shared the dressing room snap as she got ready to film the new series, she captioned the shot: ‘Another banging Buzzcocks b*****s’.
Her wedding ring was noticeably absent from her hand at the time.

Iconic: Daisy looked a far cry from her character Kerry (pictured with her brother Charlie)
The actress wore long blonde hair extensions and looked unrecognisable as she swapped her character Kerry’s sports tops and trainers for a pair of black boots and a satin top.
While her career was going from strength-to-strength, Daisy was said to have grown ‘tired’ of her marriage to her partner, amid the pressures of the coronavirus lockdown.
A source told The Sun: ‘Daisy said she had grown increasingly tired of married life and was struggling in her relationship with Will.
‘They ended things for good earlier this year. She has taken off her wedding ring and has been telling her friends their marriage is over.
‘She has also removed Will as a director on her media business. It’s been a tough 17 months for everyone and Daisy and Will were no exception.’
Daisy previously revealed that one of the reasons behind her divorce was her different sense of humour from her husband.
She found fame with the BAFTA-winning This Country, which she created, wrote and starred in with her brother Charlie Cooper.
Yet Daisy revealed: ‘I was with a man, as wonderful as he is, who didn’t find This Country funny. It wasn’t his sense of humour.
‘It’s like, how can I possibly be with a man who doesn’t find my comedy funny? That’s f**king mad! And he deserves better than me because he has things he needs that I can’t give him.’

Following her split from ex husband Will, Daisy dated Ryan Weymouth during a five-month whirlwind romance where she got his name tattooed on her ring finger.
They ended their relationship around two weeks after she got the tattoo – which she has since had covered – but said she doesn’t care about the inking as she is making the mistakes she felt she ‘couldn’t make’ before.
Speaking about her split from her ex husband, Daisy gushed that Will is ‘amazing’ and an ‘incredible’ father but admitted lockdown ‘shone a spotlight’ on their marital difficulties.
She said they both realised that ‘there wasn’t real love there’ and said she felt that she needed to be by herself after the strains of the Covid-19 pandemic.
She told The Times: ‘Will is amazing, an incredible, incredible dad – but fundamentally, there wasn’t real love there, I don’t think there ever was, really.’
Daisy said she thinks Will would agree with her and that they both felt pressure to get married and settle down once they reached their thirties.
The actress said cracks began to show while she was pregnant with Jack during lockdown, saying they argued about her not wanting to go out for dinner or join her family for a meal at home.
Daisy said the breaking point came when her daughter Pip asked her to put a pair of dungarees on a Sylvanian Families figure from her own childhood toy set.
She said she couldn’t get the outfit on the toy and Pip wouldn’t play with the Sylvanians like she wanted, saying she felt like she ‘couldn’t cope’ in that moment.
Daisy said it made her realise she needed a change, adding: ‘I had tears streaming down my cheeks. I told my husband — well, my then-husband — ‘I’ve got to go outside, just walk, on my own’.’
Parents: Daisy previously revealed that one of the reasons behind her divorce was her different sense of humour from her husband
Daisy said she began considering divorce after reading a heartbreaking post on Mumsnet from a woman in her seventies who had felt ‘trapped’ in her marriage.
She said reading the post and then becoming friends with Selin Hizli, an old adversary from drama school, made her realise she needed to leave her marriage.
Daisy said when she became friends with Selin, they candidly spoke about what was happening in their lives, with Daisy explaining that she realised what ‘real love’ was because she felt ‘understood’ by her friend.
The This Country star said their platonic love for each other helped her to realise that she needed to move out, saying ‘life’s too short’ not to be happy.
