Jamie Lynn Spears Turns Off Instagram Comments In the Wake of Britney Spears’ Conservatorship Speech

Despite disabling her comments on the photo-sharing platform, the ‘Zoey 101’ alum is still called out by Twitter users who accuse her of taking part in her sister’s conservatorship woes.

AceShowbizJamie Lynn Spears won’t let herself get dragged by internet trolls in the wake of Britney Spears‘ testimony. Having been accused of taking part in her sister’s conservatorship woes, the “Zoey 101” alum decided to turn off her Instagram comment.

The 30-year-old actress and singer disabled her Instagram comments on her nine latest posts. As for the other feeds, she restricted the comment only to people whom she followed.

Jamie Lynn’s move, however, did not stop her from being called out by many on Twitter. One user in particular argued, “Jamie Lynn disabled her IG comments… she knows that Britney exposed her and she seems like she won’t face it. #FreeBritney.” Another raged, “GO TO H3LLL @jamielynnspears.”

The backlash did not stop there. More came forward with one stating, “Jamie lynn spears had the time to turn off comments on her instagram but not to speak up in support of her sister.” Someone else chimed in, “Jamie Lynn Spears turning off her Instagram comments really let’s us know she knows she’s sh**ty.”

This came after Britney broke her silence on her 13-year-long conservatorship in a court hearing on Wednesday, June 23. In her speech, she slammed her father Jamie Spears and her whole family for stealing her freedom over the years.

“I would honestly like to sue my family, to be totally honest with you,” she told a judge. “I also would like to be able to share my story with the world, and what they did to me, instead of it being a hush-hush secret to benefit all of them.”

“I want to be able to be heard on what they did to me by making me keep this in for so long, it is not good for my heart,” the ex-wife of Kevin Federline added. “I’ve been so angry and I cry every day. It concerns me, I’m told I’m not allowed to expose the people who did this to me.”

Britney also suggested that her father should be in jail for making her suffer. “My dad and anyone involved in this conservatorship, including my management… they should be in jail,” she stressed.

In response to Britney’s bombshell claims, Jamie’s attorney Vivian Thoreen said that he regretted what he had caused to his daughter. “He’s sorry to see his daughter suffering in so much pain,” the attorney pointed out.
