Kate Middleton ditches the power suits and stuns in cream co-ord for latest engagement

Kate Middleton looked flawless as she donned an elegant cream knitted two-piece outfit for a Royal trip to the Midlands.

The Princess of Wales, 41, ditched the business chic power suits she has opted for on recent engagements in favour of the stunning £110 top from one of her favourite brands, Sezane, along with a matching skirt. The popular princess teamed the outfit with camel pumps, a pair of teardrop pearl earrings and a £365 1950s-inspired Tusting bag in taupe for Wednesday’s visit to Nottingham Trent University in the East Midlands.

During the engagement, Kate was expected to chat to students about how they manage their wellbeing as part of her week’s work to mark World Mental Health Day, which was on Tuesday. She was greeted with cheers as she arrived at the university, where she was expected to attend a freshers fair-style exhibition to learn more about how mental health was supported at the institution.

The princess was set to learn about the universities' peer-to-peer support system while chatting to students about how the mentoring programme works.

She was also expected to get involved with the 'step in circle' – a part of Nottingham Trent's induction programme for new students. The method is used as part of the university's Welcome Workshop to improve the confidence of new arrivals and to give them information about the support networks available.

Finally, Kate was set to learn about how Nottingham Trent University was using data to identify the students who may not be thriving by measuring things such as course engagement. Her solo trip to Nottingham came a day after she and Prince William visited Birmingham for a series of youth workshops to discuss the mental health issues faced by young people today.

The event, held at Birmingham's Factory Works in partnership with UK-based digital charity the Mix and BBC Radio 1, brought together 100 young delegates to discuss how they managed their emotions and how they could be supported to build their resilience and maintain healthy relationships.

William and Kate’s visit came as their Royal Foundation found that around 95% of 16 to 24-year-olds in the UK say they think their peers are having some sort of issue with their mental wellbeing.

Meanwhile, Princess Kate has put in a number of stylish displays in power suits on recent Royal engagements.

Last month she won praise from Royal watchers on a trip to The Orchards special educational needs centre in Kent thanks to her stunning outfit that featured a red textured double-breasted blazer from Zara teamed with black trousers, a beige top and Boden shoes.

Earlier in September Kate stunned in an emerald green trouser suit as she visited a Leeds textile mill that was once owned by her family. Kate visited AW Hainsworth, a family-owned heritage textile mill which was established in 1773 and previously owned by William Lupton & Co, which was founded by Kate's ancestors in the 17th century.

Also in September, the Princess was also pictured looking sensational in a stunning camel Roland Mouret suit over a plain white top during a visit to the Streets of Growth charity in east London – whileWilliam was in New York unveiling the finalists for the 2023 Earthshot Prize.
