Lisa Armstrong is said to be “feeling relieved” that her former husband Ant McPartlin’s wedding is done and dusted.
But a source tells OK! that the make-up artist also feels the extravagant nuptials were “a kick in the teeth” as Lisa expected the day to be “more low-key”.
TV presenter Ant tied the knot with his now-wife Anne-Marie Corbett in Hampshire on Saturday in front of a whole host of celebrity guests.
The source said of Ant's ex: “Lisa is feeling relieved that the wedding is all over. There was a bit of a cloud over her head with the big build up.
“But she did think it seemed to be over the top – Lisa thought it was going to be a bit more low-key," they continued. "She thought it was a bit insensitive for Ant to be punching the air. She thought it was a bit of a kick in the teeth and a bit unnecessary.
“She couldn’t help but see it because the pictures were everywhere.”
Ant, 45, was pictured punching the air with joy following their nuptials as he and his new bride, who is his former assistant, posed under a flower arch at the church where they got married.
Lisa, 44, split from Ant in 2018 following 12 years of marriage.
After Ant’s wedding Lisa took to Twitter to like a tweet from a friend who sent "lots of love" to her on ex-husband’s big day.
The post read: "@lisaAmakeup Sending lots of love sweetheart, have a fabulous day!"
It's not the first time Lisa has taken a swipe at her former childhood sweetheart.
Hours prior, she took a subtle dig on Ant's wedding day as he Anne-Marie Corbett tied the knot.
While the happy couple exchanged vows, Lisa liked a tweet that read: "Terrible weather in Hampshire today."
