The ‘Mama Said Knock You Out’ rapper was slated to perform at Brooklyn’s Barclays Center on June 27, but Ticketmaster’s official website shows that the event has been scrapped.
AceShowbiz –LL Cool J has rescheduled the dates of “The F.O.R.C.E. (Frequencies of Real Creative Energy) Live” tour, but fans aren’t too thrilled with it. Many expressed their disappointment on social media after the “Mama Said Knock You Out” rapper explained why he changed some dates on the first leg of the tour.
On Friday, June 16, the 55-year-old shared an Instagram video of him during a gym session. In the caption, he elaborated, “I have to give my fans an experience that is unforgettable. I want to make sure everything is done right, and in order to do that, I had to change some things up. The updated tour dates are now live. Link in Bio to check it out. I’ll see you there. More to come.”
The post has since been flooded with comments from confused and angry fans. “This is sad tickets purchased and Barclay’s is saying canceled and refund…this is horrible omg,” one person argued, while another sent similar sentiment, “Yea but Barclays ain’t saying rescheduled they saying it’s straight up cancelled.”
Someone else fumed, “Naw you didn’t POSTPONE. You CANCELLED on us.” A different individual argued, “Ugh….We bought our plane tickets and hotel for the 4th of July concert….. this sucks.”
Cool J was slated to perform at Brooklyn’s Barclays Center on June 27, but it was scrapped and according to Ticketmaster’s official website, all refunds “will be processed to the original method of payment used at time of purchase, once funds are received from the Event Organizer, which is usually completed within 30 days.”
The same message is also shown for some other shows. They include the June 28 gig at the Newark, NJ Prudential Center; the July 6 event at the Hollywood, FL Hard Rock Live; the August 19 event at St. Louis, MO Enterprise Center; the August 20 event at the Indianapolis, IN Gainbridge Fieldhouse; as well as the August 23 event at the New Orleans, LA Smoothie King Center.
Cool J first announced “The F.O.R.C.E. (Frequencies of Real Creative Energy) Live” tour, which marks his first arena tour in 30 years, back in April. The Roots, DJ Jazzy Jeff and DJ Z-Trip will serve as supporting acts. Other artists like Salt-N-Pepa, Queen Latifah, Rakim, Common, MC Lyte, Method Man & Redman, Big Boi, Bone Thugs-N-Harmony and Ice T will also join Cool J onstage.
