Loose Women stars gush over Rylan’s body transformation after marriage split

Loose Women stars have praised Rylan's recent lifestyle overhaul after he underwent an impressive body transformation.

It Takes Two presenter Rylan, 33, has been open about he has struggled following his split from husband Dan Neal. Following the breakdown of their marriage, he became “dangerously thin” but has since packed on the pounds in muscle mass after teaming up with fitness guru Scott Harrison.

Rylan has put on four stone and sports a six pack as he explained the gym has done wonders for his mental wellbeing.

Now, speaking on the ITV show, Gloria Hunniford, 81, Ruth Langsford, 61, Coleen Nolan, 56, and Brenda Edwards, 52, have gushed over him.

Ruth explained "Have you seen him recently? If you haven't, you should. Wow, wow, wow."

As side-by-side before-and-after images of Rylan was displayed on the screen, she continued: "He's been sharing these pictures and it's a very very impressive body transformation."

"In the interview, he talked about the physical effects of his break up from husband Dan, describing how he became painfully thin. And he says despite things being very tough for him, this new healthy eating plan he says has made him bounce back.

"More interestingly for me, and obviously I'm very close to Rylan, he says it's done more for his mental health. So it's not just about, 'Look at me, I'm getting a fit body,' it was about having a focus and looking out for his mental health. That has really helped him."

Gloria, who was recently unveiled as the Snow Leopard on The Masked Singer, then cheekily added: "It must help you look in the mirror, in Rylan's case, and see that incredible body…"

Rylan, who stands at 6ft 4, dropped below 10 stone in the wake of his break-up.

His brother went on to recommend that he reach out to Scott, and the pair have since become “best friends”.

The star told The Sun: “When I started feeling more myself I wanted to feel more confident in my body.

“My brother recommended Scott and we became best friends. It’s been amazing. This isn’t the end goal — it’s just phase one.

“Getting fit and looking after my body has saved me. Fitness has given me a goal.”

Rylan went on to credit his fitness regime for improving his mental health.

“It’s done more for my mental health than it has for my body, which is a crazy thing to say because you can physically see the body change,” he explained.

“For my head, it was the best distraction, and at the same time it was a way to release a lot of emotion and focus on something other than what’s going on around me."
