Ella Barnes has been called out as a "liar" by Love Island star Tyrique Hyde's brother, following yet more explosive scenes in the Love Island villa.

On Sunday night's instalment, 16 July, bombshell Ella B, 23, spoke to Ella Thomas, 24, about when she kissed Tyrique, also 24, in a nightclub two months ago, saying: "He did say to me, 'It's a shame it was our last kiss'."

There was trouble ahead when Tyrique argued with Ella T, refuting championship dancer Ella B's claims and insisting she had lied.

Now, Tyrique's brother Mekhi Hyde has come out in support of his brother, also suggesting that Ella B isn't telling the truth.

In a video on TikTok, Mekhi said: "Oh my God, man, blonde Ella is still spinning the narrative. Come off it, man, just focus on Mitch."

He added: "Ella B, why are you lying? Why? Why?

"You knew exactly what you were doing in that conversation with Ella, man. Come on, man."

He then joked that he's "sick and tired" of his brother's antics.

On Sunday night, Ella B was earlier seen telling Ella T about her kiss with Tyrique.

She said: "I wanted to clear the air. Obviously, me coming in is not easy. With the whole Ty thing we do know each other and maybe I did say something that I apologise for – I shouldn't have said 'Battle of the Ellas'. I didn't mean it in a malicious way."

Ella T replied: "From my side, I don't have anything bad against you. I feel like we've got off on a bit of the wrong foot. Me and you have never actually had a one on one conversation but I still tried to be friendly and civil."

She added: "Ty has kissed lots of girls and for me that doesn't really mean anything."

But Ella B continued: "He did say to me 'That was a shame that was the last kiss' and that's why I said there were mixed signals because he just told me it was closed off."

The Love Island drama is set to continue on 17 July as Mitch is unable to pick between Abi and Ella B.

He remains in a love triangle following the recent recoupling, which saw him couple up with Ella B.

Speaking to Abi, whom he coupled up with following Casa Amor, Mitch says: “My feelings haven’t gone. I was going to pick you.” To which Abi replies: "Actions have consequences."

Mitch says: “Right now, no-one compares to you. As much as I’ve tried, all I’ve thought when I’m cuddling her at night when I’m laid thinking ‘this is forced’. I see a future outside with you, not her. Abi, we’ve got something good. I haven’t got the urge to kiss Ella.”

Also tonight, the fan favourite challenge ‘Snog, Marry, Pie’ is set to make a comeback.

We’ll see the Islanders get the opportunity to snog, marry or put a pie in the face of the person of their choice, and the challenge is predicted to cause a stir in the house.

Whitney receives a text which reads: “Islanders. It’s time to lay your feelings on the plate in today’s challenge Snog, Marry, Pie. #NoMoreMrNicePie #MarriageMaterial.”

The boys are up first as they each choose a girl to snog, marry and pie.

Up next, the girls get their opportunity to snog, marry and pie a boy of their choice.
