Former TOWIE star Joey Essex and Maura Higgins are reportedly planning their first date after they were snapped kissing at the Pride of Britain Awards.
On Monday, Love Island’s Maura was seen getting cosy with Joey while attending the annual event at Grosvenor House in London.
Following the event, the reality TV stars were photographed kissing and left together with friends in a taxi.
Speaking to The Sun, a source said that Joey and Maura had met before, but things only became “flirty” on Monday.
They explained: “They’ve met before on the celebrity party circuit but Monday was the first time things have turned flirty.
“They were flirting like crazy and all over each other. Eventually, Maura just grabbed Joey’s tie and pulled him in for a kiss, right in front of everyone. He loved it.”
Joey and Maura are said to have exchanged numbers so that they could plan their first official date.
The source continued: “They did leave together in a taxi but Joey’s a gentleman so there was no funny business that night.
“He had to be at Dancing On Ice training at 7.30am the next day anyway, so all they did was kiss and chat.
“There is a connection there — a real meeting of minds.”
The source also said that they “fancy the pants off each other”, and it could lead to something “special”, as the two have not stopped messaging.
OK! has contacted representatives for Joey and Maura for comment.
