Meghan Markle Just Hilariously Pranked Local Vendors on The Ellen DeGeneres Show

Meghan Markle just proved big time on The Ellen DeGeneres Show that she’s no longer tethered to royal protocol. From doing random squats out in public to addressing herself as “Mommy,” the Duchess of Sussex gave street vendors the prank of their lives when she took on Ellen’s classic IFB stunt—and the result was a masterpiece.

Throughout the prank, Meghan was instructed by Ellen through an earpiece to mimic cringeworthy lines to the street vendors. She was accompanied by one of the show’s writers—whom Ellen ridiculously named “Pwamma” for the prank—to play “Executive Assistant to Meghan, the Duchess of Sussex.” The two first approached a table of crystals. “Watch me, Pwamma,” the duchess says, while patting down the crystals. “I have healing powers. Can you feel my powers?”

The two then approached a table offering hot sauce samples paired with chips. “Momma wants some heat,” proclaimed the duchess while eating samples like a chipmunk. “Mommy needs some milk,” she added as things got spicier, before reaching for her bag to take a swig from a baby’s bottle.

The duchess finally made her grand entrance to the last vending table with a joke. “Why did the elephant put his trunk in the cookie jar?” she asked, followed by a long moment of silence. “You get it?” the duchess finally said. Playing along, the vendor Yasmine responded, “Oh! I’m like, ‘It took me a while.’ I was like, ‘Wait, are you trying to—?'”

“It’s funny, isn’t it? It’s a funny one,” said Meghan.
