Country music artists Mitchell Tenpenny and Meghan Patrick tied knot on Sunday, October 23, at a friend’s farm in Tennessee.
According to People, the ceremony took place outdoors under colorful trees. Close friends and family were in attendance, including fast-rising singer-songwriter Ernest.
The report says that the wedding ceremony was filled with personal touches, including an altar that Patrick built with her father, while Tenpenny’s high school football coach and longtime family friend Scott Tillman served as officiant.
Tenpenny had been in a long-term relationship with Patrick. The couple got engaged on November 24, 2021 in the bar where they first met.
“[We knew each other was the one] because we knew we could have our dreams and our relationship work together,” Patrick tells People. “We are each other’s best friend.”
The pair also said that the part of the experience they looked forward to the most wasn’t the wedding itself, but rather “getting to call each other husband and wife.”
