Kym Marsh, 45, has spoken candidly about her role in the forthcoming play based on the thriller, Fatal Attraction. The stage production is set to tour the UK in 2022 and will see Kym play Alex Forrest, originally portrayed by Glenn Close in the film.
But the former Coronation Street star has now revealed she underwent extra preparations for the “racy” moments in the play.
Kym confessed she has been working out to achieve her ideal shape.
She explained: “There is one particularly racy scene, and I must admit that’s a bit daunting.
“I’ve never had to do intimate scenes like that, so this is all a very new thing for me.
“Once I got told I was doing it, I was like, ‘Nobody needs to see this body right now’.
“I’m 45, I’ve had four children and I’ve not had an easy year with my fitness — it had to go on the back burner.”
Kym clarified to The Sun: “Of course, I’m not going to be totally naked, but it’s still baring more flesh than you may want to in front of hundreds of people in a theatre every night.
“I just need to feel confident doing it, so I’m working hard at the gym to try to get in shape.”

However, Kym will receive plenty of support from her husband Scott Ratcliff, 33, and the oldest of her children, David, 26, and Emilie, 24, as she delivers her performance.
Actress and Morning Live presenter Kym and Scott, an army major, recently tied the knot in a romantic secret wedding.
The couple married on October 16 in Sandhurst.
They were first introduced by mutual friend Anthony Cotton, and started dating in 2018.

The happy couple got engaged in June.
After the wedding, Kym took to social media to share a snap of her special day alongside her new husband.
In the picture, the couple can be seen sharing a hug and smiling broadly as they are about to kiss.
In view of her 485,000 followers, Kym gushed over how “lucky” she is to have married the love of her life.
She penned: “Take me back to 3 weeks ago when I married the love of my life!!!
“This man is like no one I’ve ever met! I am one lucky lady!!!”
Her Coronation Street co-star Faye Brookes was one of many overjoyed commenters.
She wrote: “So happy for you mama.”
