Apparently, Madonna is not the biggest fan of Pink. At least that’s what the 43-year-old singer claims!
During an appearance on The Howard Stern Show on Wednesday, Howard Stern brought up the musical heroes she has met over the years, specifically name-dropping Her Madgesty. When he asked if the pair were “friends,” Pink shockingly revealed that they are NOT on good terms! She claimed:
“Madonna doesn’t like me. I don’t know why. Some people just don’t like me … I’m a polarizing individual.”
Considering Madonna and Pink are both considered to be polarizing artists in the industry, you would think they might get along and be big supporters of each other. Not the case, sadly.
What started the 64-year-old singer’s alleged beef with Pink? According to the What About Us artist, Madonna “tried to kind of play” her when they were both booked for Live with Regis and Kelly in 2003. However, she said combatively:
“I’m not the one, so didn’t work out.”
Yeah, we wouldn’t mess with Pink, that’s for sure… When Howard pressed for more details, Pink recalled that it all came down to a misunderstanding over a joke she made on the show, saying:
“It’s just such a silly story. I f**king love Madonna and I love her no matter what. I still love her. She was such an inspiration to me, but it sort of got twisted around that I was, like, fangirling and was dying to meet Madonna, when in actuality, she invited me into her dressing room. And so, I just said a joke when Regis brought me out…He’s like… ‘I heard you’re just falling over yourself backstage. How does it feel?’ I’m like, ‘I thought she wanted to meet me.’”
Clearly, Madonna didn’t appreciate that response! It definitely downplayed Madge’s cool factor, so we kiiiinda get it tbh. The songstress added:
“It didn’t work out. Didn’t work out for us.”

Madonna has not addressed Pink’s version of events at this time, but we would love to see the two powerhouses move past the issue!
