According to a new report, the Duke of Sussex wants people to stop talking about her feud with his brother as they are mourning the passing of their grandmother, Queen Elizabeth II.
AceShowbiz -Prince Harry hopes people let him mourn the death of Queen Elizabeth II in peace. According to a new report, the Duke of Sussex wants people to stop talking about her feud with brother Prince William in the wake of their grandmother’s passing.
A report from the Times of London claimed that Harry told a friend last week, “People need to just stop talking about all this stuff and focus on my grandmother.” The site also stated that the new Prince of Wales agreed as he’s “solely focused on doing what is right to honor the Queen.”
The insider went on to say that the royal brothers are still “trying their best” to get along. It was also noted that the Duke of Sussex and the Duke of Cornwall are “processing his grief and the death of his grandmother, rather than sitting there processing his relationship with Harry.”
Since Queen Elizabeth II’s passing on September 8, the duo and their respective wives have been putting on a united front. Alongside Meghan Markle and Kate Middleton, they engaged in a joint royal walkabout to greet mourners outside the Windsor Castle last week. Harry and William also walked behind the Queen’s casket when it left Buckingham Palace last week.
During the Queen’s funeral on Monday, September 19, the two rode to Westminster Hall in separate cars. They later walked with dad King Charles III behind their grandmother’s casket to Westminster Abbey. Meghan and Kate, meanwhile, joined them inside alongside Kate and William’s eldest two children, Prince George (9) and Princess Charlotte (7).
The tension between the brothers had made headlines for years and intensified when Harry and Meghan announced their exit from their royal roles in 2020. The Sussexes additionally made bombshell allegations during an explosive interview with Oprah Winfrey in March 2021.
“I love William to bits,” Harry said at the time. “We’ve been through hell together, and we have a shared experience, but we are on different paths.”
