Robert De Niro, 79, shocked fans as he casually revealed he has extended his family yet again with baby number seven, although it has not yet been confirmed who the child’s mother is.
The actor has had a complicated relationship history during his six decades in the public eye after meeting his first wife at work.
In 1976, the Hollywood star fell in love with actress Diahnne Abbott, 78, as they worked alongside each other on the set of Taxi Driver.
Their minimal screen time together didn’t hinder Robert and Diahnne’s whirlwind romance, which saw the pair getting married and having their first child, Raphael, 46, together before the end of the year.
Diahnne had a daughter from a previous marriage, five-year-old Drena, who Robert adopted, essentially becoming a father-of-two within a few months.
After more than a decade together, and becoming a high-profile couple as they both climbed the ranks in Hollywood, Robert and Diahnne split in 1988, but The Godfather star remained close to his adopted daughter.
The actress has maintained a very low profile ever since, only appearing in two films after the divorce.
Shortly after his divorce, Robert began dating model Toukie Smith, 70, but the pair kept their relationship well under wraps throughout their eight-year-long romance.
Although they never married, Toukie and Robert welcomed twin sons, Julian and Aaron, 27, via surrogate in 1995.
The pair were so secretive with their relationship that when asked about it by The New York Times in 1992, Toukie simply declared: “Do you know how to spell private? P-R-I-V-A-T-E.’ And that’s with a capital P.”

A year after breaking up with Toukie, the Dirty Grandpa star married socialite Grace Hightower, 68, and they welcomed their first son together, Elliot, in 1998.
The very next year Robert reportedly filed for divorce and sued Grace for custody of Elliot but despite the dramatic circumstances, the couple managed to reconcile.
Despite this early hiccup, Robert and Grace remained married for over two decades, welcoming their daughter Helen, 11, during this time.
In 2018, the couple split, officially this time, and Robert has not confirmed any relationships since.
However, last summer the Amsterdam actor was rumoured to be dating Tiffany Chen after they were seen strolling along the beaches of Spain together.
The pair were also seen out for dinner in Los Angeles with The Mirror reporting that Tiffany appeared to have a baby bump.
Tiffany and Robert have known each other for years after meeting on the set of The Intern in 2015, but neither has commented on their rumoured romance.
