Bruno Mars and Anderson .Paak‘s new R&B supergroup Silk Sonic have made history just a month after announcing their formation.
The duo’s first single “Leave the Door Open” jumped 3-1 on Billboard‘s Adult R&B Airplay chart dated April 3, reaching the top of the tally in just four weeks.
Billboard noted the sprint to No. 1 by “Leave the Door Open” marks the fastest run to the top by male artists in the chart’s history.
The jump to the top spot reflected a 14 percent spike in plays in the week ended March 28, according to MRC Data.
Bruno Mars has now earned five No. 1s on the Billboard‘s Adult R&B Airplay chart, while Anderson .Paak captured his first.
