The 60-year-old musician is booked for misdemeanor assault after airport police receives a ‘report of a disturbance between two males in an airport terminal.’
AceShowbiz –Tool drummer Danny Carey faced a legal trouble. According to a new report, he was arrested after an incident at the Kansas City International Airport on Sunday, December 12.
It was said that airport police received a “report of a disturbance between two males in an airport terminal” around 7 P.M. The musician was one of the two men arrested that night and they were transported to a Kansas City Police Department station.
“Regarding the request for body and dash cam video, our police force does not have this technology. The police report has been forwarded to the prosecutor’s office for review,” a spokesperson for the Kansas City Aviation Department said in a statemet.
According to TMZ, Danny was booked for misdemeanor assault. The drummer allegedly shoved the man in the chest with two fingers and shouted, “You’re a f**king f****t!” several times. It, however, remains unknown what caused the argument.
In a video obtained by the news outlet, Danny could be seen wearing a Kansas City Chiefs jersey. The 60-year-old told officers that he is the drummer for Tool when he was being put up against a glass window and cuffed.
While Danny is no longer in custody and was released on a bond he and Tool declined to comment on the incident.
Danny is one of the founding members of the band, which was formed in the late 1980s and have won four Grammy Awards over their career. Their most recent album is “Fear Inoculum” which was released in August 2019.
The Kansas native also joined the Kansas University Basketball Pep Band at the Kansas college basketball game against their big rivals, the University of Missouri, on Saturday afternoon. He played drums for the school band for a cover of Jimi Hendrix‘s “Fire”.
