Zac Brown Band‘s “The Comeback Tour” came to a halt after lead singer Zac Brown tested positive for the coronavirus.
A September 30 show, scheduled to be held in Clarkston, Michigan; an October 1 show in Burgettstown, Pennsylvania; a concert to be held in Syracuse, New York, the next day, and a concert in Saratoga Springs, New York, have been affected.
Revealing the sad new on Instagram on Tuesday, Brown said, “I have made the very difficult decision to pause Zac Brown Band’s The Comeback Tour. Despite taking precautions, I’ve tested positive for COVID-19.”
“I am deeply disappointed this has happened, as touring is our life and performing live for our fans is the best part of our job. The bottom line is that I want to take every precaution to put the health and safety of our fans and crew first,” he added. “We will resume the tour as soon as I have finished the CDC-mandated quarantine and it is safe for our band members and crew to do so.”
“The Comeback Tour,” which launched on August 5, is expected to resume on October 8 at Daily’s Place in Jacksonville, Florida.
