‘Bride’ lists 13 brutal rules for her wedding day including a strict dress code and phone order… but there’s a twist

A BRIDE-to-be has courted controversy by listing the 13 brutal rules she's got in place for her big day – despite not even being engaged.

Kennedy Marks took to TikTok to share a list of the rules she wants in place for her nuptials, which she claims to have been planning since she was eight years old.

"My boyfriend is not proposing to me any time soon and also doesn’t know any of these rules but I thought I’d give it a go," Kennedy began.

"Please don’t get angry at me if some of these are a bit harsh for you but weddings are just so expensive that I’m going to be a perfectionist on the day – sorry!"

First on Kennedy's list is a rule that she thinks should be in place for "all weddings" – "no-one else wears white but the bride".

"I’m paying so much money, I’ve invited you to my day, please have the respect of not wearing white.

"My bridesmaids are under very strict instructions that if someone comes in wearing white, a bottle of red wine will be poured on you and you will be getting out before I see you."

Next, Kennedy doesn't want any kids at her wedding – unless they're pre-approved.

"I love children, I love my family’s babies, I love my friends’ babies, but I’m not having a distant relative with children who I have not got a connection to (there)," she added.

"I don’t want screaming in my ceremony, I don’t want your children running onto the dance floor when I’m trying to do my first dance because you’re at the bar. Just, no.

"Unless you’re going to look after your children, you’re going to be there with them 24/7, holding them, sadly I’m so sorry."

Kennedy also doesn't want her guests to assume they'll get an invitation for their plus one, and also has a strict rule about anyone making any other announcements at her wedding.

"Please for the love of God, do not take the attention away from me," she added.

"I’m an attention seeker through and through, I will get you out, we will never be friends again.

"I don’t care how close we are, I don’t care if you’re family, no thank you, It’s common respect.

"I’ve not paid all that money for you to have a party for your announcement."

Among Kennedy's other rules are that no-one should use the microphone unless she's pre-approved them to do so, that they shouldn't stress her out, they should ask her mum instead, and that she doesn't want any boring people at her nuptials.

Kennedy Marks’ brutal wedding rules

  1. No-one else wearing white
  2. No children (unless approved)
  3. Don't assume an invitation for a plus one
  4. No big announcements
  5. No-one to use the microphone unless approved
  6. Don't stress me out, ask my mum
  7. No boring people
  8. If me or Rhys have never met you, you aren't coming
  9. No rudeness to staff or you're out
  10. No phones in the ceremony
  11. Anyone on the dancefloor on my first dance will be dragged off
  12. Guests wear whatever you're comfortable in
  13. Full use of my photographer after my photos

She also doesn't want anyone she or her fiance have never met at the wedding, and any rudeness to staff will also not be tolerated.

Rule number 10 – no phones in the ceremony, as Kennedy wants to "enjoy the moment" and "have a big moment together".

As well as her guests wearing what they're comfortable in, another rule is that she doesn't want anyone else on the dancefloor for her first dance.

Anyone who does dare flout the rule will be "dragged off".

"You will never be seen again," she added.

"You will disappear after that – there’s not a chance I’m having that moment ruined for me."

Kennedy's last rule on her list is that people can use her photographer, but only after her requested pictures have been taken.

"I want you to have the really cute photos of you and your boyfriend for Instagram but after mine," she concluded.

In the comments section on Kennedy's video, the majority of people were on her side.

"The way you keep apologising – I agree with every single one," one person wrote.

While another added: "Completely agree with all of these.

"We wrote 'no children allowed' on the invites. Someone turned up with their child and uninvited girlfriend!"

"I agree nobody else wears white!" a third weighed in.

"My cousin's wife came to my sister's wedding in a full white outfit I thought it was so disrespectful!"

Others were not as convinced, with one going as far as to even call Kennedy a "bridezilla".
